Let me reiterate the reasons why the Foundation is named after Rajan. When we started as RHT Law, we had our CSR firmly in sight as we always wanted our firm to be one of purpose and giving back to society was a paramount tenet.
As our then Senior Partner, Rajan was instrumental to the setting up of the Foundation to focus our CSR activities through the Foundation.
Since retiring from politics, I have remained engaged with the community in various ways as a volunteer in an advisory capacity. In this way, I continue to support some of the key causes I was advocating whilst in office. Charitable causes are one of them.
Hence, I can identify with what RHT Rajan Menon Foundation seeks to do, espousing support for the environment, promotion of education and uplifting the less fortunate. I pushed for greater pro-bono involvement by lawyers and law firms whilst in office. Now, through this platform, I can continue to be involved in this endeavour in a more direct and impactful way.
